The FLAM classes

Support classes in French, reserved for member children of the association. Neither French as a foreign language nor school: an in-between designed for children who speak French at home and grow up in another language.

The practical side

  • Every Saturday morning, at Lycée Xavier (Jongno-gu, Seoul)
  • 90-minute sessions, in small age-based groups — without parents
  • Two sessions per year: October-February and March-June
  • Session fee: announced in September, on top of membership

Our approach

A whole-child approach, adapted to each age: language, motor skills, creativity, cognition and social development. Games, reading, speaking and writing — to practise French with pleasure, not as homework.

Éveil classes (early years)

For the youngest: a one-hour session every other week, at Lycée Xavier and in Yongsan — with parents present.

Signing up for the classes

The classes are for members only, so the first step is membership. Already members? Write to us to enrol your child for the next session.

Questions about the classes

What level of French is needed?

The classes take place entirely in French: your child needs to understand it, not speak it perfectly. Many of our kids mix languages — that's normal, it's even why we exist.

What are the groups?

Children are split into small age-based groups, from 3 to 7, over Saturday-morning time slots.

Can we try before signing up?

Yes: a trial session is possible. Write to us to set a date.
